The silicone rim grips the bowl edge so well that I can pour with one hand and nothing splashes out, and the stainless mesh drains even the finest rice water fast. It's become my go-to for rinsing berries too, and the grey looks nice enough to leave on the counter.

I love that this sieve comes in three sizes, so I can grab the right one whether I'm rinsing berries or draining pasta. The silicone rim really does make it sit steadily on my mixing bowl without wobbling.

The silicone rim keeps it from clattering against my metal bowls, which was my main annoyance with older strainers. I got the largest size and it's perfect for draining a whole pot of pasta without having to tilt it.
